Patient Travel Information (usually provided free of charge)

 The following is a list of organizations providing transportation to patients to get medical treatment.  It is not means to be a comprehensive list, but should provide a good starting point should these resources be insufficient.

Corporate Angel Network, Inc.

Corporate Angels Network finds free air transportation, on corporate planes, for cancer patients who need medical treatment. Patients must be ambulatory.

 


 

Angel Flight of New England

Angel Flights NE serves the northeast area of the country.  Their stated mission is, "Angel Flight Northeast is a non-profit organization providing free air transportation in private aircraft by volunteer pilots so children and adults may access life-saving medical care. The volunteer pilots are well qualified and fly you out of nearby airports whenever possible.  Winter travel is sometimes a problem as many small aircraft do not have de-icing capability.

The Air Care Alliance

From their website, they say, "Using their own time and general aviation aircraft, pilot volunteers from the many public benefit flying organizations help hundreds of people each month. They and many other non-flying volunteers work to transport needy patients to facilities where they are able to receive medical attention they might otherwise have to do without."
